Compare RAM kits

Put two or three kits side by side. Add your motherboard to see which ones fit it and how fast they can run on it.

Pick at least two kits to compare them.

Comparing RAM: questions

What does CAS latency in nanoseconds mean?

It turns the CL number into time: CL × 2000 ÷ speed in MT/s. 6000 MT/s CL30 and 6400 MT/s CL32 both work out to 10.0 ns. It's only the CAS part of memory latency; the full latency also depends on the CPU and other timings, so treat it as a fair way to compare kits, not as the latency you'll measure.

Is faster RAM always better?

Not always. On Ryzen 7000 and 9000 the memory controller usually runs at full speed up to about 6000 to 6400 MT/s and switches to half speed above that, which costs latency. Very fast kits can still win in bandwidth-heavy work, but around 6000 MT/s is the usual sweet spot for gaming.

Does a lower voltage mean a better kit?

No. Voltage is part of the profile the kit was tested with. A lower voltage means a little less heat, but it isn't a quality or stability rating, so we show it without picking a winner.
